  3.   All the programs on this disk are either in the Public Domain or
  4. are Shareware, any information to the contrary will be acted on
  5. immediately. Since the introduction of Workbench 2.0, slight changes
  6. will be made to our disks, any drawers with brackets '( )', will work
  7. with that indicated version of Workbench.
  8.  
  9. CATS - A text file of information released by Commodore through CATS
  10. (Commodore Amiga Technical Support), most of the information is for
  11. developers. The text file also gives some useful information for the
  12. average user.
  13. DISKTEST - A program to check formatted disks for possible problems.
  14. DT can locate disks that format, but when copying files could develop
  15. errors.
  16. HLPLUSDEMO - A demo version of a program that converts graphics
  17. between the various Amiga formats. Conversions between JPEG, HAM,
  18. 24-bit to/from IFF formats are possible. The save feature is diabled.
  19. SCAN - A program to scan for pattern matches in compressed text files
  20. in LZH/LHA formats. You detemine what keywords the program looks for,
  21. and the resulting located matches could then be printed.
  22. SCREENHACKS - Two humorous hacks: FITNESS- Periodicaly a figure walks
  23. across the screen, and does 'jumping jacks' to let you know it is
  24. time to exercise; EATERS- Little red pixels, appear on the screen
  25. turning white pixels to black.
  26. SCSIUTILITY - A utility that explores SCSI hard disks. There may be
  27. some problems with the various manufacturers of hard disks.
  28. VIRUS_CHECKER - This is an update to earlier versions. This is
  29. probably one of the best and most popular programs available. This
  30. program was used to detect the 'Challenger virus' that was accidently
  31. released on Fred Fish disk 622!
  32. XNOTE -this program eXecute NOTE, allows you to use the comment
  33. portion of a programs name as an executable command. Read the
  34. documentation for more information.
